So, as a matter of interest what is the difference between the two, aside from where they are installed, and the legs.
Is the actual tray the same? Are the lid bolts in a different place, or different lengths?

Here are pics of the battery tray.I hope this works.I have never attached pics before.As you can see, one of the legs is rusted half way through,and pitting on the back side where it fastens to the div. plate.

Default perfect tray

Those images posted fine. Your MKI* tray looks good enough to have come off the JD in the background. Just needs some two-tone green and yellow paint.
Dave, could you simply strip off the unwanted bits, trim the tray to length, fill in the remaining slider openings? Reproduce a MKII* forward leg and rear support to match the original version? Reverse the hold down rods and good to go!
It would save Richie paying the postage to the UK.

Any Fabricator should be able to make you one of thoes to pattern mate. Nothing complicated on that.
