The worse thing about these puppies is shipping. You might as well be shipping hand grenades! Don't want to p""" on your fire, but that's one of the major problems with those little buggers, but good luck in selling them! Robert

Stevie......let me tell you a little paint story for you and the MLU members! Back in the 80's, I had a Paint store in Edmonton Alberta Canada. And if anyone dosen't know where Edmonton is, it's about 2000 Miles from Rob Love's house and is known as the "Armpit of Alberta". Sorry to steal your glory Rob!
Anyhoo...we developed a line of paint products, strictly for the movie and television industry. They were radically different for what had been on the market for the last 20 years and they were manufactured from what is commonly known today world worldwide as " Acrylic Paints". AND suddenly.....we had the finest and best "Scenic Paint" in North America! Well.... we sold paint from LA to New York to Toronto to Vancouver, you name it....we were the hottest commodity product in the movie industry! God....we were selling more of these paints than any of the household paints, which are the bread and butter of any paint store. And then came that fateful day...Edmonton Alberta Canada, the brand new Bus Depot (Shiny and sparkling new!!! Could eat off the floors!!!) 2000 miles, as the crows fly from Rob Love's house! We had a shipment of 4 gallons (ol'days) in a box being shipped to southern Alberta for a movie. Now.... from a personal point of view, 4 gallons in one box.....too too heavy. But I couldn't convince the manufacturer otherwise. Anyhoo, to keep the story short, somewhere within the terminal itself....those 4 gallons. Those 18 point metric whatever tins, those overladen cartons, came off a conveyor belt and crashed to the floor opening up ALL 4 tins. Now of course, Television Stations/ Radio Stations had been called and reporters were on the the scene interviewing witnesses for the Great Canadian Paint Spill and the reported "tidal wave" of paint flowing through the shipping area and into the passenger area. AND THE COLOUR....."Touldine Red" ( Fire Engine Red).................and that's why paint is not allowed to be shipped on buses!! Cheers...R ![]() |

Mr Morrison:
With Shilo actually being just slightly off from the geographic center of Canada, in fact there is not much located in Canada that is 2000 miles away. Edmonton is only about 700 miles or so away, and is a decent days drive. In fact, only 1300 miles would get me to Victoria. Heading West it would get me to Whitehorse and if I were (for some reason) to head East, 2000 miles it would just about get me to Gagetown NB. I may be in the middle of nowhere, but I am not that far from somewhere. This thread has now officially wandered from paint to return policies to Cdn geography. |

Sure Steve, I can (ha ha) help you out.
Since the tone of the conversation is going to shipping paint, do you want to put it in the interoffice mail? If not, I should be able to go by your house.

Good morning Eric,
Not required. I ordered one from Frank last week. I painted all of my parts a couple of weeks ago in order to get them done before the weather turned. All done for the season now so there is no rush for the bracket. Cheers. Steve
