These are all original components.
Nor sure whether I have measurements.

Keith, that is the hold down frame (as opposed to a "cover") that I was referring to.
The value of a picture!!!

Yes, there are three components there, the hold down cradle, frame and cover, evident in the middle picture.

Thanks Keith. The image is great. From the looks of it, one could make up a cover fairly easily.

Well done Keith, I never expected to see an original battery cover in captivity! I reckon they'd be the very first item on a blitz to be discarded. With this image we can take accurate measurements off the box itself and the distance between posts. Looks like the top plate is heavier gauge, which would explain why it's two piece construction. This is the Macs repro hold down frame, good value at $12.45 and looks the part. 51A-10718_pJPG Macs Part no. 51A-10718 .45.JPG

The cover not only looks correct, it is correct, for a Ford CMP.

There may be more differences than just Ford/Chev.
I've seen some 13 cab Chev driver side step / running board set up for battery with the long axis transverse to the truck and others set up with the long axis along the vehicle. My impression is that the longitudinal mount may be too tight in spacing on C15A due to the fuel tank mounting location although I don't have document or photo proof to support this. |

The lower part is at least similar to the remains I have found on Chevrolets.
I don't have a top so all dimensions will be useful as I will probably have to make one. |
