We started using DRMIS in KAF for the draw down (last 6 months) although we were using the older planex at the same time, so the data may well be double recorded if the vehicle remained in KAF right to the end.
The data on this CFR shows short intense periods of use with long idle periods in between. For instance it was delivered with 20km on the clock in May 06, and by late Aug 06 had over 2000km, whereupon it got a bunch of maintenance time and effort. It ran again for another couple months, with some periods of maintenance and modest expense. The last mileage was just over 4000km and that has been consistent for several years. It is not disposed of, and is listed as "serviceable" - snort!

That photo of the compound in KAF sure brings back some memories. I ran the heavy maintenance section in the first tent on the right of the photo. Photo is a bit earlier than my first tour of 2008 though, as by then the HESVs and the HLVWs were relegated to camp and FOB use with the introduction of the far, far superior AHSVS (Mercedes Actros)

Is that a Dutch tractor trailer unit with the temperate cam scheme and the 8 wheel LAV variant on the trailer?

Yes, it will be one of th units we leased until we could get the Actros into play. When I was there on my first contract we were sending back the Dutch equipment (or the remnants of it in some cases).
