The head gaskets are for Post War (1945) 59A onwards until 1948 Ford Flatheads. They are marked "100HP"

As shown in attached photo the earlier head gaskets had a trapezoidal hole in the centre whereas the later gaskets had a round hold which reflects the difference in the cooling chamber shape at the deck of the block of the earlier vs later flatheads.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and putting the pictures up. The news paper that was in the box was dated 17th July 1944, but i guess there's nothing to say that paper was from the day it was packed. Thanks again for your time.

Not to go against what has already been said but the large headlight is M37 as Rob has said but it was also found on some Canadian Ferrets at times.

Hi John,
The gasket with out a label looks very similar to a MB/GPW L head motor gasket. There are a few slight differences, but very close. If you google mb/gpw head gaske you'll see. I'm sure a jeep shouldn't be too hard to find over there to compare to!
