Funny for the step boards, all the steel peaces used to be used! certainly due to the steel missing at the end of the war.

Does an picture of the lub chart exist? I have this marks on the two doors was this plate each side?.

What do you think about the APT type marqued on is type plate on the dash board?

My wife is filming me, and my eight years old daugter is in the cab with me , and we were all happy that the new "baby" starts!

Hello Harle' and welcome to the forum. I'm not a CMP owner myself but have an interest in WW2 Chevs.
What a wonderfully intact vehicle. There can't be many CMPs around in that sort of condition.
I notice that the rear driveshaft has one hell of a bend in it. Forklift damage perhaps?

My daughter went with me to pick up my first CMP a HUP when she was 4 years old she is now 41 and her children are now riding in the HUP. At 4 years old she rode with me in cab of the flat bed tow truck, and was fascinated with the fact that the truck driver had filled the ash tray with with lollipops. It was a several hour trip over and back and she enjoyed the whole thing.

Has your family named the truck yet? My HUP got named BEAST because when my wife saw her first picture she said "what a beast" and the name stuck. So when I got the second one the C60S it just had to be named BEAUTY.

As to whats on the charts there is an older MLU thread that has been posted that I will try and find that thread as I think it has the text and pictures. This fits in with with Grant's comment on posting pictures directly to MLU instead of links to outside photo sites, finds like yours are few and far between and by posting the pictures directly to MLU there is a better chance that they will not be lost in the long run.

Sorry for the pictures ,my english is not so good and I have sometimes difficults to understand everythinks.

As far as today the truck has no name but ,he is still of the familly!

I was owner of an C8 hup ,I retored it in the 90' when I was 20 years old, and I had to sell It , it was very difficult ,so my wife baught me this one.

My daughter is an real purple girl but enjoy history and runing with my truck's!

For motto, yes the shaft is worn , it was during the transport certainly an fork lifter.

Hi Sylvain

The U brackets I think you are talking about are to release the latch on hook, they are often bent or even broken off from hitting trailer connection when backing up.

Yours look to be the correct shape.

Now I see what you are asking about. This is a new one on me, don't think I have ever seen these before.

You may be correct that they are hose clamps. Wonder if they are part of the trailer brake booster set up.
