Default 30-cwt - 3 ton 3C1 GS Steel body (Q.M.G.)

Further to an interesting thread on the restoration of a Chevrolet C60S with 3C1 30-cwt / 3-ton General Service body, I have started this thread to bring all the information on this body type together in one place.

Even though I know of approx. less than 5 of these bodies in existence still, I am sure someday somebody may want to restore one of these.

Drawings from "Illustrated Body Parts List for D.N.D. special Pattern Bodies October 1941":

With canvas cover, but it is generally thought these body types were fitted with the regular wrap-around canvas as on the 4A1 body on the right.

Incidentally, the 100,000th Ford-built military vehicle was this Ford F60S Cab 12 with 3C1 body.

Other than here on MLU, make sure to check the thread on HMVF for detail pictures of the 3C1 body under restoration in the UK.
