Barry,
"8444" in the chassis means the truck started life as a 15cwt C15A. The "2" at the start of the number means it's a 1942 model.....given the fact the actual build date is 18-02-1943, I presume the chassis was made in 1942, but the truck was assembled a few months later. Please post some pictures of the truck when you have the time. Alex
