Sounds like a nice find, Stuart.
Does it still have its original body? David |

Original tray went missing decades ago. Currently has a hay tay on. Chap that sold it to me threw on an old tray from possibly an Acco.

Army Army also fitted the roof top clearence lights which are on this truck. The pioneer tool rack on the mud guard is not something I have seen before as there are factory brackets on the rear RHS of the cabin and foot step to do this. The engine govenor is still in place too. Govenors are usually the first thing to be removed and also reduces the carby cracking problem. A GMC steel or wood rear body fits straight on, but leaving than body on it may not be original, but would make it more useful. Is the cabin interior roof lining in place ?...........finding one with the original roof lining is extremely rare. Last edited by Ron King; 14-10-18 at 11:09. |

Looks like a relatively early/mid production, probably 1944, with small air cleaner and no provision for pioneer tools on cab, R/H running board or mudguard.
Is the nomenclature plate still on the dash? Pioneer rack appears to be American WW2 not ACCO like the tray. David
