Not aware of any MK-I* model (C01UC, C21UCM and C21UCG) produced without the folding gunner left front upper protection plate. I understood the left front plate having a hinged forward folding top section was to enhance driver vision when the added protection was not required.

The installation of bases for attaching upper hull deep fording extension plates caused the folding section to become redundant as it became fixed in the raised position.
