Hi Phil,

Since I restored quit a bunch of cmp's, I figured out that it doesn't make sense to coat or even lubricate the leafs!!!

Imagine in wartime that they lubricated all the leaf springs, by the way the spring behaviour doesn't act the way as it was designed for, as it was lubricated.
It needs to have some kind of "stiffness" for its purpose, so my advise: just paint them and put them back together.

We have NOS leaf springs without lubricants, coatings or whatever, just good old olive drap, that tells enough I think.
