A few observations to follow up on Jon's. Jon, does your source indicate Canadian NATO use?
Probe No. 5 eh? You'd think they could have figured out how to make a poker like this in less than five modifications.
There is no /|\ or C/|\ or dates anywhere on the item or carrier, only the NATO number stamped on. Are these WW2 and the stamp applied later? The carrier and brass ends look WW2 British, but again no markings of any kind. British perhaps, given the proven Australian use? WW2 is possible given that loads of stuff was produced then and it's not uncommon to have it issued years later if available in storage and practical.
