Yes, but this one died 30,000k before the recommended replacement. The mechanics I spoke to told me the timing belt on early 300 TDi had some lateral movement abrading the edges which resulted in the early failures. There was a mod done to overcome this. Those Discos are still a relatively common sight on the back of a flatbed.
