Eric,

If you have changed your vehicle to 12 volt your horn will still work fine (it won't burn out or anything like that)

Just get a couple of wires to a 12 volt battery and touch the terminals to test it. You can now use the little adjusting screw to "tune" the instrument. 12 volt will make the diaphram move faster and slightly further. Tiny adjustments to the screw will arrive at the correct gap and perfect note - just touch wire- adjust, touch wire - adjust until it is in full cry.

You can go back the other way like this with a 12 volt horn to 6 volt system.
