there were several different types of crane or boom fitted for light recovery or breakdown work so you really need a photo of the 'crane' to be sure of which one you are talking about. A lot of 'derrick' and 'breakdown' vehicles were based on the MCP type of vehicle.

I had a light breakdown crane on the FGT - this was from a MCP Chevrolet.



There was also a small number of "Metropolitan wrecker" which had dual rear wheels and were based on converted No6 Arty tractors with a similar crane arrangement to the one shown above.
