The MRF 900X16 tyres on my Dodge Carryall now have over 6,000km on them. There is no discernable wear at all. They are very springy rubber and have much better grip on a sealed road than my previous Goodyear and Firestone tyres.
They have done about 500km on hard gravel road and no nicks or cuts. We took the vehicle to Fraser Island last Easter and ran about on the sand with 12psi for a week including lots of 60-70kph running on the beach with no ill-effect. At less than the cost of a tyre for my Toyota Landcruiser - and they come complete with tubes and rust flap - I will certainly not be going back to European or American brands. Lang

Forgot while I was at it. The MRF catalogue shows two of the elusive 900X13. The heavy tread would be fine for the small blitz - looks a bit like current NATO. The straight grooved one could be made into the perfect copy of the desert sand tyre by spending a few evenings with a grooving tool putting on a diamond pattern although I do recall seeing a photo of a WOT with that straight aircraft type pattern.
They are not just agricultural tyres they are highway rated. Lang
