The Australian Army did have some really nice little wreckers/recovery vehicles built on blitz chassis with dual rear wheels,the front wheels were also changed to the same type as the rear wheels but singles of course.There is a photo in Wheels & Tracks of a couple ,I forget what the story was with them.In the May 1988 Deals on Wheels there is a photo of an AB160 teaspoon tipper converted and fitted with the same type of short little crane,it looks nice to.It's on page 113 just in case you still have your copy of the magazine.The blitzes looked professionally converted well after the war.
