The Manitoba Agricultural Museum has a HUP tow truck conversion in its collection of vintage vehicles, and they had it out on display last week at the annual Threshermen's Reunion in Austin, Man. I took a few snaps and made up a compo to show what became so many CMPs after the war. As I was taking the snaps, and old farmer came by and remarked that he recalled the trucks were being offered for $300 each after the war, which, he said, was a fair bit of money for a farmer at the time.
Note the various mods, plus what managed to survive on this one. The original instrument panel and controls are all there.
