The Ram tanks used R975EC2 Wright engines in the earlier models (Ram I) and the Continental R975C1 in the Ram II. The Grizzly used the Continental R975C1. The Sextons used the C1 radials in the early stages of production and then the R975C4 (Continental) was installed in the last 825 Sextons to leave the factory. The engines were all manufactured in Detroit by Continental Motors. As to the 6-71 Detroit used in the Valentine produced in Canada, I believe they were also sourced from the U.S.

The Detroit-Diesel 6-71 engines were all sourced from the Detroit Diesel Plant, in Detroit!
