There was indeed, I have an unissued one still in its crate with all accessories inc. the spares kit which is still in its packing grease. The instruction booklet dates it as 1944. Mine had stencil on it as being inspected by REME FARELF, which is Far East Land Forces, could be Singapore, Malaya, etc, but still not used. They were designed by Stuart Turner Ltd, mine was made by them, others were licence built by companies Douglas and Enfield. They look like a small sewing machine in size and can be carried in one hand. regards, Richard

These are late war sets designed originally for use with the Number 22 Radio Set.
Quite how many saw service is questionable. |

Think I have pic on another computor will have a look later. it is a very small 4 stroke and I believe it was designed by Edgar. Think I have seen an article from an old model engineering magazine about it.

Fairly common over here and pop up on e-bay from time to time, but must be rare over there.
I know of a dealer who has a quanity of them as parts kits to be assembled by the purchaser. Not sure what price he is asking. |

I've never seen one in real life - and I readily accept that it would be a novelty only...if one pops up , or more info on the kits, I wouldn't mind hearing about it.. f
