On offer is a very rare canadian military pattern FORD F60T 3 ton 4 wheel drive tractor unit 13 cab built april 1944 much work done including rebuilt 24 stud flathead v8 which runs very well recored radiator all new brake cylinders pipes and hoses 4 very good 1100x20 tyres all bodywork repaired as necessary fitted with wartime freuhauf fifth wheel drives well not registered winning bidder will have the option to purchase an 18foot stepframe living van trailer built from the remains of a wartime us signals trailer. I am advertising this on behalf of the family of a late customer, who had bought it from John Marchant a few years back. John had restored it originally. Fitted with a 100hp Mercury V8 as opposed to the normal 95hp V8, it is believed to be a Windsor Carrier engine. The signwriting on the door was found when John restored it, showing that it had once belonged to Oxford University and used on two expeditions, Southern Morocco (1955) and Southern Turkey (1956). This vehicle is now on 12 volt and runs well. Has been kept in dry storage.

Asking price is £7,800

It´s an F8 actually and was first shown at Beltring 5 years ago with good results - see quote below:

F60S LAAT on MilWeb:

Older restoration and 1999 MVT class show winner. Dry stored 4years, canvas A1, body excellent but paint needs a refresh as it has faded, interior A1, engine A1. Engine reconned 1999. Needs new batteries and new fuel pump needs to be fitted. Tax and MOT exempt. £12500 ono.
