Default Brake line information sources

Hi Jason

One of your parts number/source question concerned brake lines. Well it took me awhile to find my notes.

Well if the lines you are looking for are K,G, and O in the picture above or the rear hose. They are standard Weatherhead/Eaton hoses the part number is WH 81430?? with the ?? marks being the length in inches. For the HUP I used WH 8143017.

Now here are some other useful online resources:

Weatherhead/Eaton Master Brass Fitting Catalog http://hydraulics.eaton.com/products...I-MC001-E3.pdf

Weatherhead/Eaton Master Hose Catalog http://hydraulics.eaton.com/products..._Section_A.pdf this one is more technical and not as useful as I'd like but did figure out what I needed for the big flex oil lines.

Cheers Phil

Please compare with my thread F15A brake lines; I think you will find Chevs and Fords used the same parts.

HTH,
Hanno

Hi Hanno

You are correct, at least in my experience, because all three of my Chevy CMPs have Ford front brakes, and the two C60 have Ford rear brakes.

It drove me crazy when I first was looking for parts because the brake parts are made by Ford.

Jason take note, along with anybody else looking for brake parts, if you are working on a Chevy look under Ford. This is one of the reasons that Mac's is a good resource to look up stuff in their catalog to identify parts.

Cheers Phil
