I hope you’ve enjoyed this series as much as I have had presenting it.
There are additional sets that should be included to give a reasonably complete account of WW2 British and Canadian wireless equipment and that I will showcase if I’m lucky enough to acquire them, those being a Heliograph Mk.V, Tele L, Wireless Sets No. 21, 33, 38 Mk.III, 68, 17, 12 with R107 Receiver and 76 with R109 Receiver. (Should anyone out there have any of these remaining sets for sale or trade or even leads to where I might find them I’d really appreciate it.) A number of civilian sets were also impressed into service and these remain a topic for another day. I apologize to my Australian friends as Australia is responsible for a great number of very interesting and historic sets, however from this side of the world they simply aren’t obtainable and I can’t do them justice. Final pics are of my wireless set 'family' and a Mk.II 19 set in my Carrier. This is a vehicle forum after all!! Index of equipment by week number: 1. Wireless Set No.19 Mk.II (in AFV) 2. All I can say is: "I hope you reinforced the floor under that stack of two No.9's and a WS52!" because it's well on the way to being half a ton of kit.
![]() (Very nice kit, too - in superb condition.) ![]() Thanks for the series of articles, I'll see if I can fill in some more photographs later in the year. Chris. |
